Oregon Tech students and faculty travel to Northern Europe for hands-on learning experience
Oregon Tech faculty and students recently returned from a study abroad trip to Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Iceland, which took place from Aug. 24 to Sept. 16. The trip brought together 25 students from 10 different majors to study international business, culture, and sustainability. The trip was part of a Spring Term program called Experience Business Abroad and International Study Experience in Ecology/Sustainability.

Oregon Tech Nuclear Medicine students travel to Indonesia for global health project
Professor Rick Hoylman and junior Nuclear Medicine students Will Duarte, Gabby Halgren, and Tevin Glover traveled to Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia, with RAD-AID International, a nonprofit organization focused on providing medical imaging services in under-resourced areas.

Oregon Tech student showcases tourism research at international conference
Oregon Tech Environmental Sciences and Business student Tarrah Anne Bickford presented her tourism research at the International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences (ICASS) conference held in Bodo, Norway, May 29 to June 3. Bickford, a first-year student, is a member of the Oregon Tech Business Research Group focusing on rural and Arctic studies. Last summer, Bickford and fellow student Jaime Kuchle collected data in northern Europe for an undergraduate research project analyzing best practices for rural tourism in Arctic communities.

Oregon Tech students return from research gathering in Northern Europe
Two Oregon Tech students, Jaime Kuchle and Tarrah Bickford, embarked on a summer journey to Finland, Sweden, and Iceland to conduct international research. Their work with Associate Professor Sonja Bickford in the undergraduate business research lab, the Business Research (Rural and Arctic) Group, made this opportunity possible.
